Airstream Basecamp Sink Cover, Round Sink, Airstream 15″ Diameter Galley Sinks

This Basecamp Sink Cover is specifically designed to fit the 15 diameter round galley sinks in these Airstreams.

(NOTE: This cover DOES NOT fit Basecamp sinks with flip-up overs and foldaway faucets.)

As Airstream owners, we know that every bit of galley counter and food prep space is precious, and here’s a beautiful and convenient way you can expand your work area by 176 square inches.

The cover provides 100% sink coverage. We’ll choose several hardwood species from ash, cherry, hard white maple, walnut and other domestic/exotic woods like ambrosia maple, beech, hickory, purpleheart, sycamore, yellowheart and more. (The mix of wood species will vary from the photos.)

Unlike some other Basecamp Sink Covers, ours are made one-at-a-time so every cover gets our very best attention to detail.

Order this sink cover along with our Basecamp Cook Top Cover and we’ll use the same woods for both items!

Since variations in color and grain are part of the natural beauty of wood, your cover will be truly one-of-a-kind.

Approx. 11/16″ to 3/4″ thick x 17-1/2″ diameter.

Polyurethane feet (attached with stainless steel screws) locate the cover inside the sink bowl, and raise it off (and protect) your countertop or table when used on its own as a charcuterie board and serving tray. Also, raising the sink cover off a surface will provide good air circulation and help prevent warping.

We also offer an Airstream Sink Cover for the larger 16″ diameter sinks found on Flying Clouds and Internationals.

Looking for a custom sink cover in a different shape/size or wood species? We welcome special orders, contact Jeff to start a conversation

Note: Do not leave full-bowl-coverage wood sink covers installed on the sink for long periods of time, as the moisture from the sink drain and lack of airflow may cause them to warp or mold/mildew to grow underneath.

Made to order, current lead time is 34 weeks.

Finished with a hand-rubbed, food-safe mineral oil and beeswax mixture. Care instructions are included. Check out our silky-smooth sink cover wax here.

We can personalize these covers with laser-engraved names, occasions, dates, etc., plus create versions for virtually any shape and size sink; please e-mail Jeff to discuss.
